We specialize in field-grafting vineyards.  Based in California, in the heart of Sonoma and Napa’s wine country, we work extensively throughout the north coast, as well as central California, Oregon, Washington, and even as far away as Canada and the eastern United States.

Our team of experts are the most experienced budders and grafters anywhere.  Our clients range from some of the industry’s largest corporate brands, all the way to some of the most high-end boutique growers and producers in the world, and everything in between.  Over the years we’ve literally grafted millions and millions of grapevines!

Owner and founder Dave Komar has over 20 years of experience in the wine industry, and is personally involved on every grafting project, and handles all client communication.  A graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Dave worked many years as a vineyard manager, specializing in Biodynamic and Organic viticulture, before starting Top-Notch Grafting in 2010.  Having worked for an estate winery, a vineyard management company, then going on to own his own vineyard management and trucking company, Dave understands all aspects of viticulture, inside and out.
